Safety is of vital importance in all types of electrical circuit. The electrical switches are a weak link in the chain of components used in control circuits. An important technical problem here is contact welding due to possible short-circuiting in the control circuit's electrical circuit. This article discusses theories concerning contact welding, the conseqences of contact welding in practice and relevant protective measures.
