REFRIGERATION
AND AIR-CONDITIONING
CONTROLS

Danfoss developed the
first pressure
transmitters more
than 25 years ago,
but it was not until the 1990s that the
refrigeration industry began seriously
considering the use
of these electronic
units. Customer demands for accurate
regulation, the need to reduce energy
consumption and
legislation requiring
the registration of temperature
throughout
the entire refrigeration chain were
the tasks
that could not be performed
without pressure transmitters.
Electronic pressure transmitters in a
refrigeration plant
are able to convert
any pressure to an electrical signal.
This
signal – a voltage, a current, or in digital
form – can
then be sent to a control unit
situated either in the
immediate vicinity
of the refrigeration plant or in a central
station at a service company perhaps
many hundreds of
kilometres away.
